IAPA Global Conference 2026
22 - 24 October 2026 I Rome, Italy
Welcome
We are delighted to invite you to join us at the IAPA Global Conference 2026, taking place from 22nd to 24th October 2026, in Rome, Italy. A city where over two thousand years of trade, governance, and craft have left their mark on the world.
The conference will take place at the InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace, offering an exceptional setting for this year's conference, combining timeless Roman heritage with contemporary luxury in the heart of the Eternal City.
Originally designed in 1900 and opened in 1905 as a residence for visiting ambassadors, today, it blends striking historic features with refined modern design. Situated on the iconic Via Vittorio Veneto—synonymous with Rome’s “La Dolce Vita”—the hotel places delegates and guests within walking distance of many of the city’s most famous landmarks, offering both a prestigious address and an immersive Roman experience.
We look forward to welcoming you to Rome.

Conference
This year's Global Conference will be led by Martin Clapson - IAPA CEO and Tomasz Wiklinski - IAPA Chair, and will offer delegates a busy and engaging schedule of plenary sessions, round-table discussions, and regional briefings led by member firms and guest presenters. With its elegant interiors and contemporary facilities, the hotel provides a versatile and sophisticated environment, perfect for full-conference sessions, round-table discussions, and meaningful networking.
Throughout the three days, delegates will meet referral partners, hear from leaders inside and outside the profession, and will join the wider IAPA community, creating an opportunity for developing valuable relationships through discussions, informal networking, shared dinners, and enriching social experiences.
Whilst the final schedule will be available closer to the conference, please visit the registration website for more information on the event timings.

Dinners & Social Activities
Beyond the working day, our uniquely curated dinners and social programme will bring delegates & guests together in some of Rome's most celebrated settings — designed for relaxed conversation, new partnerships, and the kind of moments that turn colleagues into friends
Thursday evening, 22nd October, will bring delegates and guests together for a welcome reception and three-course dinner at the elegant Anita Lounge Bar at the InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace, providing the perfect setting to reconnect with global IAPA members, catch up with old friends, and make new connections with great conversation, networking, and Italian hospitality.
Friday evening, 23rd October, delegates and guests will experience an exclusive Embassy dinner at Villa Wolkonsky, the official residence of the British Ambassador to Italy. Nestled within Rome’s ancient walls, the villa was created in the 19th century and is renowned for its beautiful gardens, Roman antiquities, and parts of the ancient Neronian aqueduct. This unique evening will provide a memorable setting for networking, strengthening international connections, and experiencing one of Rome’s most distinguished diplomatic residences.
Saturday, 24th October, will promise to be a particular highlight, as Delegates and guests experience Rome from a unique perspective. The day starts with a private golf cart tour through the city’s historic streets and landmarks, followed by an afternoon visit to Casale Marchese for a guided winery experience, wine tasting, and a generous Italian lunch featuring regional specialities.
The conference will then conclude with an exclusive evening at the burial home of Pope Francis, the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major, including a guided visit, a private musical recital by the Basilica’s choir and organist, and a gala reception and dinner at the Basilica's rooftop restaurant. With breathtaking panoramic views across Rome, the Basilica provides a spectacular setting to celebrate the end of another successful conference.
