Adopting IFRS for SMEs   I   An Ongoing Challenge in Latin America

We were delighted to start this year's webinar programme with members from the Latin American region.

The following webinar video, titled 'Adopting IFRS for SME's   I   An Ongoing Challenge in Latin America', focuses on Guatemala, and showcases speakers from various firms across the region sharing their implementation experiences and laws from their respective countries.

The webinar includes the participation of three prominent speakers, each of whom shares their experience and knowledge on the challenges and opportunities that the Latin American region has faced in the adoption of IFRS for SMEs, as well as the best practices implemented in their respective countries.

Collectively, IAPA's LATAM members believe that "the adoption of IFRS in LATAM transforms tax and financial effects, promoting transparency and access to international markets. Although it faces challenges, such as aligning local tax regulations, it offers great opportunities to attract investment".
