I've attended the formal reception to the president of the Unites States of America, the Honorable Donald J. Trump upon his visit to Israel along with his wife, Melania, his daughter, Ivanka and husband, Jared Kushner.
I had the honor to be invited by the Prime Minister office and to be part of this exciting and historic event.
The Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu began his speech: "Your visit here is truly historic. Never before has a first foreign trip of a US president included Israel. Thank you for this powerful expression of your friendship to Israel."
"Friendship built on our shared love of freedom, human dignity and our shared hope for an Israel at lasting peace. We want Israel to have peace.
We have before us a rare opportunity to bring security and stability and peace to this region and its people, defeating terrorism and creating a future of harmony, prosperity and peace," Trump replied.
"We must work together to build a future where the nations of the region are at peace, and all of our children can grow and grow up strong and grow up free from terrorism and violence."
No doubt that this collaboration will enforce the financial ties between the United States and Israel and as the Prime Minister of Israel has stated referring to a greater peace in the Middle East "I hope one day an Israeli Prime Minister will be able to fly from Tel Aviv to Riyadh."
