RAGH drives global economy awareness: Being aware that the impact of major global economies affects the local economy, maintains strategic alliances with local firms to expand its service portfolio. Tax matters are broad and require a range of varied and specialised services, which is why we maintain a strategic alliance with a law firm that supports us in handling clients who require legal assistance and defense in court against decisions issued by the local Tax Administration. In the maritime transport and foreign trade sectors, we also have a strategic collaboration alliance with a local company to serve international clients requesting advice on how to import and export goods to and from the Dominican Republic. The cooperative sector has developed significantly in the country, so we have appointed a team of auditors exclusively to serve clients in that sector.
Reforms with significant impact: Currently, we are undergoing two important reforms with significant economic impact: one to the Labor Code and the other to the Tax Code. The first seeks to improve working hours and reduce some benefits for workers in general, while the second's main objective is to increase tax collection. The reality is that it has been difficult to reach an agreement with all sectors; however, regarding tax matters, the government has been implementing gradual increases, including the introduction of a Tax Amnesty, which is expected in the second half of this year.
