As we all move forward into the New Year, I hope 2026 has started well for all IAPA Members and their Families.
The Asia-Pacific Regional Group was thrilled to play host to the 2025 IAPA Global Conference in Phuket, Thailand, in November 2025. In a mix of contrasts for Castletons, this was my 20th IAPA Global Conference, and the very first for my Castleton colleague, Alagu Ramanathan.
The great conference again emphasised the strength and depth of knowledge, presentation skills, and personal acumen we are so fortunate to have among our IAPA member firms and those who represent them. All sessions during the conference (presentations, panel discussions, and round-table discussions) were conducted by our members and our Head Office team.
Our participants were suitably impressed by the standard of all presentations and would all have taken home some new information and hopefully an idea or two for future implementation. It would have been great to have more attendees, both from Asia Pacific and other regions, but the conference was excellent.
The social side of the conference was again fabulous, with the Saturday Boat Trip to various islands being a real highlight. We now look forward to the various 2026 conferences throughout our regions.
Regional AGM
After our Regional AGM, which was also held in Phuket, I can report that I was re-elected as Chair of the IAPA Regional Group, and my fellow committee members are Vipul Kothari (UAE), Mun Kit Wong (Singapore), Kristian Lunardello (Australia), and our latest addition, Paramnoor Singh (India).
