Hilborn hosts this year's BHD Conference in Toronto
Hilborn LLP proudly hosted the BHD Association National Conference from September 18 to 20, 2025, in Toronto, bringing together professionals from across Canada for three days of knowledge sharing, strategic discussion, and networking.
Held at the heart of downtown Toronto, this year's conference focused on the evolving landscape of the accounting profession, with in-depth sessions covering crucial topics such as:
A major highlight of the event was the presence of Tomasz Wiklinski, Chairman of IAPA, who delivered a compelling address on the value and benefits of IAPA membership for Canadian firms. His presentation emphasised the importance of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the enhanced credibility that IAPA affiliation offers in a competitive marketplace.
“By staying ahead of trends and connecting internationally, BHD members are positioning themselves – and their clients – for long-term success.” Said John Campbell, IAPA Treasurer.
In addition to the informative sessions, the conference also featured memorable social experiences. Attendees enjoyed an exclusive evening at the Hockey Hall of Fame, celebrating Canada’s iconic sport, followed by a gala dinner atop the CN Tower, offering 360-degree views of Toronto’s skyline and reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the event.
The 2025 National Conference once again demonstrated the BHD Association’s commitment to professional excellence, peer connection, and global engagement in the accounting industry.

The BHD Association represents a network of Canadian accounting professionals committed to leadership, innovation, and best practices in financial services. Through national events and global affiliations, BHD supports the continued growth and success of its members.
The conference attendees look forward to the next BHD conference to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in September 2026.
