Please see below to find the presentations along with the working programme for the International Conference in Singapore in November 2019.
The 2019 International Conference was held at the Grand Hyatt in the spectacular setting of Singapore. The 3 day conference was attended by 110 delegates, travelling from more than 20 countries across the globe to join us and celebrate IAPA's 40th Anniversary.
The conference was a blend of educational technical forums, industry-expert keynote speakers, valuable networking opportunities, IAPA updates and news, followed by unforgettable authentic local entertainment.
The pre-conference event was a kind invitation from Singapore based accountancy firms, Helmi Talib Group and Fiduciary Asia for an office tour of both firms and a fantastic dinner.
At the start of the conference was a quick-fire networking session, to enable all new and existing members to get (re)acquainted, after which the six technical forums covering The big 4, Facilitating International Business, Technology working, Non-doms in the UK, Corporate finance and legal and Transfer pricing, all hosted by member firms were well attended and enjoyed.
Over the course of the conference, delegates heard from industry-experts on key topics, including New Globalisation from Ryan Piper at Baker Tilly International, Singapore as a Gateway to ASEAN from Germin Ong at the Singapore Accountancy Commission, GenNext and the talent conundrum from Chun Wei Chiew at ACCA and Business Creativity from Fredrik Haren, certified speaker and author.
IAPA's AGM saw Helmi Talib, Arun Todarwal and Wayne Price re-elected onto the Board, with new Vice President positions for the Asia Pacific region. Congratulations!
